Public Relations Campaign — Events & Partnerships

In this role I worked as a member of the PR campaign team through a semester-long class where we rebranded the school's journalism department. I created posters, gave speeches and ran events, and recreated the department book.

I worked as a server for four years as a way to fund my college education. I worked most weekends and some days during the week. I learned to use my communication skills to interact and create relationships with my customers. I also worked under high stress conditions during busy dinner shifts. I learned how to work well with others, think and act quickly, and problem solve.

This internship gave me the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and witness real-world marketing unfold. I worked with local businesses, like ATW and the Fox Valley memory project, on different projects and events during my time at Willems.

R & R Foods, Appleton, WI — Stocker/Cashier

June. 2016 - Sept. 2021

started as a bagger but moved on to stocking and cashier quickly. It was a small grocery store in my neighborhood so I created relationships with many of the regular customers. I worked here to buy myself a car, which I did in May of 2019, and learned about time management, organization, and diligence. This job gave me an opportunity to learn from people that I never would have had the opportunity to learn from otherwise.
